Frequently asked questions

I'm unsure if my riding ability is good enough for these tours

We offer tours for a range of skill levels, from beginners to experienced riders. Our team provides guidance and support throughout the journey to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. If you're unsure about your riding ability, we recommend speaking with one of our team members before booking. We're here to help you choose a tour that's best suited to your skill level and provide advice on improving your skills. Don't let doubts hold you back from the adventure of a lifetime.

How fit do I need to be for the tours?

We recommend having a good level of fitness as you will be spending approximately 8 hours a day on a bike. Being bike fit is crucial for a comfortable and enjoyable experience, so we suggest getting as much seat time as possible before the tour. However, our tours are designed to accommodate a range of fitness levels and we take regular breaks throughout the day. Don't worry if you're not a pro athlete – with some preparation, anyone can complete our tours and have a fantastic adventure on two wheels!

How fast should I Ride?

That all depends on the skill of the rider. Our guides have ridden in some of Australias toughest races alongside the nations best, and are focused on getting all riders to the end of the journey in one piece rather than breaking records. So don't try to show off or ride above your limits, because the slowest rider is still quicker than an ambulance ride home. We like to ride at about 3/4 pace— fast enough to stay alert and concentrating but slow enough not to get caught by surprise. Set your own pace and enjoy the adventure. Don’t get caught up trying to keep up with a faster rider and especially don’t hang around behind a slower one. In our experience we find the latter option more dangerous of the two because we start to let the mind drift and not focusing on the ride. If you’re riding with a slower rider, give them a chance to get ahead then play catch-up.
